The post-covid workplace

Covid-19 changed the world, the workplace and the work as well.  We need to adapt to new situations, not only now that we work from home, but also when we return to our office. This return will be a challenge for every company to quickly productivity and competitiveness, without compromising health and safety.

The shutdown caused by the coronavirus has forced all companies to park, but after the restart, the competition will be fiercer than ever. The crisis has created new challenges but also new opportunities in almost every industry. The winners will be those who can reactivate, redeploy and reengage talent most effectively.

This experience has also impacted people. Some people have easily adapted to working from home and will want the option of working remotely in the future, but there will be those who can’t wait to return to the office because of the inadequate workspace or furniture at home. Some people have challenged the balance between family and work, some people have loneliness. However, experienced the healt-related anxiety as we wore masks, crossed the street to avoid crossing paths with neighbors.

Everyone who returns to work has changed. Employees will not return to an office that doesn’t feel safe. Companies need to improve everyone’s wellbeing  at work – their physical, cognative and emotional wellbeing. Infection control will be the new priority. Workplace will need to be modified not only in terms of furniture, but also in terms of materials, technologies, design paradigms, behavior and protocol.
